In this section, both disabled and non-disabled dancers create groundbreaking, genuinely inclusive, professional dance performances on the stage as artistic works. It is still rare in Japan that challenged people perform as professional dancers. However, through our past activities, we have seen that our inclusive dancers successfully created really inspiring and moving performances.
We will improve our new production in 2007, and also make efforts in sales promotion to give more performances in various cities.
This class is for regular members. These members practice together throughout the year. They create artistic productions of high quality and perform in various cities. We established this class last year and we now have 13 members. The next performance is basically produced by our director Toshiaki Sadayuki and by these Company Class members. We have invited a professional choreographer(now negotiating) and the members of "Siro-A," which is one of the successful performance groups in Sendai, as stage staff to help us complete stage settings, music, costumes, and so on. With their help, we want to create a more highly artistic dance performance as general art.
We are accepting members who want to experience an inclusive dance performance. These members basically join the performances only in Sendai. Our art director Toru Iwashita and Toshiaki Sadayuki, who directs and choreograph our dance, create new productions that are based on social themes.
Members have been accepted since October, 2006.
